Questions, answered clearly
Everything you need to know before creating your free TaskSimply workspace.
Is TaskSimply free?
Yes. TaskSimply is free to start with no credit card required. Create a workspace and begin using tasks, notes, shopping, budget and team features.
Can I use TaskSimply as a mobile app?
Yes. TaskSimply installs as a progressive web app on iPhone, iPad and Android. Add it to your home screen from Safari or Chrome and launch it like a native app.
Is Teams separate from my personal space?
Yes. Teams is a dedicated business area for projects, kanban, members and wiki. Personal and family tools — tasks, shopping, budgets — stay in the Personal space. Switch between them in the sidebar.
Can families share TaskSimply?
Yes. Invite a spouse, family member or roommate into your workspace. Everyone sees the same tasks, shopping lists, budgets and notes in real time.
Does TaskSimply have kanban boards?
Yes, in the Teams area. Projects use backlog, to-do, doing, review and done columns with owners, due dates, priorities and notes on each card.
Does TaskSimply include a notes app?
Yes. Rich notes with headings, checklists, callouts, code blocks, notebooks, tags, pinning and full-text search. Teams also has a shared wiki.
Can I track a household budget?
Yes. Set monthly category budgets, log income and expenses, and see a dashboard summary. Share the workspace so both partners see the same numbers.
Is TaskSimply a Notion alternative?
TaskSimply is a focused alternative for tasks, notes, family tools and small-team kanban — without building custom databases. Notion remains stronger for flexible database workflows.
Is TaskSimply a ClickUp alternative?
For small teams needing kanban, tasks, members and wiki, yes. Larger organizations needing enterprise automation and extensive integrations may prefer ClickUp.
Is TaskSimply a Todoist alternative?
Yes, if you want task management plus notes, family sharing, shopping, budgets and team projects in one account. Todoist remains excellent as a task-only app.
Does TaskSimply work offline?
TaskSimply is primarily online so your workspace stays synced across devices. The installed app shell may load, but saving tasks and notes requires a connection.
Should I store passwords in TaskSimply?
No. Use a dedicated password manager for credentials. TaskSimply can store procedures and links to approved credential locations in notes or the team wiki.
Who built TaskSimply?
TaskSimply was founded by Daniel Ziedins (danielziedins.com) as part of Thy Kingdom Network — tools for people who want their ordinary week to count.
Can I rename my workspace?
Yes. Personal and team workspace names can be changed independently in settings.
How do I invite team members?
In the Teams area, create an invite link and share it. Members join your team workspace with access to projects, kanban and wiki.
